About IKS Division

The IKS Division is a section with in the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, established for the implementation of the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Scheme. The Division commenced its operations from the headquarters of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) in June 2020, with administrative support from AICTE.

The Division was further strengthened in October 2021 to proactively implement its vision and expand its activities. Subsequently, the team was enlarged in June 2022 to enhance its outreach and impact.

At present, the IKS Division receives administrative support from the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi. The Division is led by a National Coordinator and a dedicated IKS team, working towards the integration of Indian Knowledge Systems into education, research, innovation.
